• The General Election will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2000.


• There will be polling places at the American Indian Center in Minneapolis and at the Facility Center in Cass Lake.


• If you vote absentee, please have your ballot returned to the Election Board office in Mahnomen, MN by June 8 to insure it will be counted.


• If you are requesting a ballot, be sure to fill in all of the information requested on the Ballot request card including the district number. If you are not sure about the district you must choose district 1, 2 or 3.


• Be sure to have your ballot signed by a notary public.


• Be sure to sign your own request card and ballot. If the signatures do not match, your Ballot will not be counted.


• If you are not sure who to vote for as Chairman, ask someone who lives on the reservation and knows what is really going on here. The reservation voted two to one for DOYLE TURNER, follow their lead for a brighter future for our people.

A Spaghetti Supper, Bake sale and 1/2 Take Bingo will be held at the Rice Lake Community Center on Monday, May 22, 2000. The Spaghetti Supper and Bake sale start at 5:00 p.m. and the 1/2 Take Bingo starts at 6:00 p.m. All are welcome and please bring some of your favorite baked goodies for the sale!!

Thanks to all of you who attended the Pot Luck with Doyle Turner held April 10 at the Pike Bay Town Hall, Cass Lake, MN.

The lines of communication were open and the people seem more excited and enthusiastic about Doyle's candidacy for Chairman of the White Earth Reservation.

It was good to see the people who came from out of town too!

The weather was unusual for the date but we appreciate the people who braved this late winter storm and came to join us White Earth enrollees living on the Leech Lake Reservation.

Thanks to Gary, Michelle, Bonnie, Jay, Terry, Annie and others who provided the food. It was delicious!! The campaign posters were humorous and a great time was had by all. Miigwech!!!
